Step 5: Link Objects to Tags

After defining tags and assigning addresses, you need to link them to the objects on your HMI interface. This will enable the objects to display or control the data values of the tags. To link an object to a tag, right-click on it and select Link Tag. You will see a dialog box where you can choose the tag name from the drop-down list. For example, you can link a text box to the tag "Temperature" so that it will display the temperature value from Modbus address 40001.

Step 6: Save and Download Your Project

Once you have finished designing your HMI interface and linking it to your tags, you need to save and download your project to your HMI device. To save your project, click on File > Save Project or press Ctrl+S. To download your project, click on Communication > Download Project or press F9. You will see a dialog box where you can select the communication port (COM) and the baud rate (bps) of your USB to RS232 converter cable.
