The New Orleans Hornets are headed to the playoffs, but their name is still up for grabs as the NBA decides which franchise will receive the NBA All-Star draft pick. While Al Jefferson, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers are drawing all of the headlines, the Oklahoma City Thunder might be in the best position to benefit from the draft lottery fiasco.
The NBA’s Board of Governors will hold the lottery on Monday, and the winner of the tournament will be announced before the season begins. This year, the top three teams in each conference will be assigned a spot in the first round of the playoffs. In the Eastern Conference, only the top two teams will be assured of a playoff spot. The No. 3 team will have to win their remaining three games to guarantee a spot.

Should they win their last three games and finish the season with the best record, they will receive the No. 1 pick.
In the NBA Draft Lottery, the Thunder will be set up against the Hornets, who finished the season at 13-19. The NBA Draft Lottery will take place on Monday at noon and will be televised on ESPN.
Should the Thunder win the lottery, they will have the No. 4 pick. They have the option of taking Kentucky’s Brandon Knight with the No. 4 pick or one of Duke’s Ky 0b46394aab
